What’s Coming to Sarah’s Garden

An evolving vision for connection, learning, and growth

Sarah’s Garden has always been about more than planting seeds. It’s about nurturing possibilities. And the vision is only just beginning to unfold. Here’s a look at what’s coming soon to the garden:

Educational Community Gardens

In 2024, much of the year was dedicated to clearing the property and preparing for gardens. A test garden with 16 plots was established, and neighbors were invited to participate in gardening activities.

This year, the gardens have expanded to include 7 keyhole gardens with over 50 garden plots. Three of these keyhole gardens will be designated for growing food for individuals experiencing food insecurity. The SWWA Victory Food Bank, a nonprofit organization that supports food independence, will utilize a 60 ft plot to grow food for distribution through a local church. Additionally, two keyhole gardens are allocated for growing tomatoes and beans for the Clark County Food Bank.

Greenhouses & Community Classes

We’ve purchased two greenhouses, and with the help of amazing volunteers, they’ll soon be assembled on site. These spaces will allow us to extend the growing season and host community workshops. One of our first offerings will be classes on starting your own plants from seed—perfect for first-time gardeners or anyone looking to deepen their connection to growing food.

Farm Stand

We’re building a small farm stand where visitors can purchase fresh produce grown right here in the garden. It’s a step toward making locally grown food more accessible to the community—and a chance for Sarah’s Garden to support itself in a sustainable way.

Animals Coming in 2026

Plans are underway to welcome animals to the garden in early 2026. We’re currently finishing construction on the barn to ensure we have a safe and welcoming space for them. The addition of animals will bring new opportunities for education, connection, and joy for kids and adults alike.

Big House Renovation

One of our largest upcoming projects is the renovation of the property’s main house. This transformation will allow us to expand programming, host gatherings, and offer indoor spaces for classes, grief support, and more. Renovation is expected to begin next year.

This is just the beginning. Sarah’s Garden is growing into a space filled with life, learning, and shared hope. Keep an eye on this blog for more updates as each new piece takes root.
